In response to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce’s request for feedback on the Sensible Oversight for Technology Which Advances Regulatory Efficiency (SOFTWARE) Act of 2013, AMIA joined the Bipartisan Policy Center and other organizations in a letter providing comments on an oversight framework for HIT that improves patient safety, promotes innovation and reduces regulatory duplication. AMIA's liaison to the Bipartisan Policy Center is Dean Sittig, PhD, AMIA board member.
