AMIA Public Policy staff and leadership seek guidance from membership as to the top policy priorities for the organization.
Currently, AMIA policy work is guided by the AMIA Public Policy Principles. These Principles, initially published in 2020, are living and are updated regularly. The Principles guide AMIA's reactive federal policy engagement. Meaning, when an agency releases a proposed rule, we assess whether it is relevant to our nine Principles.
