Dear AMIA Members,
It’s hard to believe we’re moving through May! As we approach the AMIA 2022 Clinical Informatics Conference (CIC) in Houston next week, we would like to announce a new membership opportunity especially applicable to the audience of the CIC, the AMIA Health System Membership.
AMIA’s Health System Membership is a no-brainer decision for organizations that deliver or pay for healthcare and public health services. Compared to any other option, this membership makes it easier and less costly for health organizations to engage with AMIA and access educational offerings.
The membership includes complimentary AMIA membership and conference registration for key health system informatics leaders who are important contributors to our organization and its efforts. Membership also grants access to Health System Council events and materials.
Through the membership, individual health system and hospital employees are granted discounted credits, which they can use to take advantage of AMIA’s digital learning-on-demand programs. These programs allow health systems to maintain and improve the competencies of their informatics workforce. They also help satisfy requirements for professional certification.
Eligible health systems include integrated delivery networks, hospitals, clinics, provider groups, home health agencies, insurance companies, state/county/city departments of health, government agencies, and healthcare quality-and-safety-promotion organizations. A membership may be held at the corporate, regional, or local level.
The four levels of the Health System Membership offer a simplified way for health systems to select the benefits that best meet their needs and to engage their leadership and educate their employees. All Health System Membership levels may be customized to include additional benefits.
We also have an informational meeting at CIC to learn more about this opportunity:
- Health Systems Council Meeting Monday, May 23 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CT
We are thrilled this new membership is available and look forward to seeing the community advance. Please share with your health system colleagues to strengthen this part of our ecosystem!
