About Dr. Yuri QuintanaYuri Quintana, Ph.D. is Director of Global Health Informatics and co-Chief of the Division of Clinical Informatics, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Quintana's research is focused on developing innovative technologies that empower communities of healthcare professionals and patients to collaborate on a worldwide basis. Historic ACMI Biography
Dr. Quintana leads research on online communities of practice for education and clinical data sharing such as Cure4Kids.org, POND4Kids.org, and AlicantoCloud.com a social learning platform used by Boston Children's Hospital OPENPediatrics.org, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute MADCaPNetwork.org, MIT JWEL network (https://jwel.mit.edu). He has given 120 invited lectures, and has 65 peer-reviewed publications. He has been a leader in the field of medical informatics for over two decades. At St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, he envisioned, implemented, and managed global eHealth solutions for children with cancer that has improved the lives of countless children and made a significant contribution to global clinical informatics. Dr. Quintana led the development of Cure4Kids, the leading online network for pediatric cancer clinical education and collaboration, and POND4Kids (Pediatric Oncology Networked Database) for collaborative international clinical trials used by over 200 clinical centers in low- and middle-income countries.
