Historic ACMI Biography
Dr. Urmimala Sarkar is one of the first pioneers to conceptualize digital health equity and conduct informatics research in safety-net health systems. Her prior studies demonstrate digital disparities among vulnerable populations in patient-facing tools, such as health portal and telehealth usage, as well as barriers preventing safety-net settings from implementing digital innovations.
