Historic ACMI Biography
As a longstanding UMLS developer and current co-chair of National Library of Medicineís Unified UMLS Steering Committee, Mr. Srinivasan has made pioneering contributions to the UMLS Metathesaurus and lexical tools and to the methods and systems that support biomedical terminology analysis, development, and use. He directs the development of systems that produce terminology resources that are used worldwide in research, information retrieval, data creation, and health information exchange. He has produced terminology distribution, customization, and interactive access systems that are used around the globe by system developers in academia and the commercial sector.
