Public Biography
Dr Leftwich joined InterSystems as Senior Clinical Advisor for Interoperability in August 2015 after 5 years as CMIO for the state of Tennessee Office of eHealth. He has 22 years of practierce experience in Internal Medicine. He started his informatics career as a Chemical Engineering undergraduate doing software development for interoperative monitoring. He is active in HL7, HIMSS, IHE, NQF and the ONC Standards and Interoperability Framework. He is adjunct Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, and Clinical Informatics.
