Historic ACMI Biography
Dr. Hogarth is a board-certified Internist and Full Professor at UC Davis (UCD). He is founding faculty of the UCD Health Informatics Masters program (1997), in which he currently serves as Chair and has been course director/lecturer for over 18 years. He collaborated with Richard Walters in the developing health informatics at early phases of our specialty. For 8 years, he also taught the only public health informatics course offered across the whole UC system. Hogarth organized the meeting that led to UC Research eXchange, a clinical data research network (CDRN) covering 13 million patients, and co-leads technical development for the PCORnet pSCANNER CDRN (23 million).
