Public Biography
Dr. Whittenburg is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Advisory Group (USTAG) on Health Informatics and represents the US to the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee on Health Informatics (ISO/TC215). Dr. Whittenburg is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nursing Informatics Association, Fellow of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (FHIMSS) and Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). At present, Dr. Whittenburg is a volunteer with the Virginia Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) focused emergency preparedness and disaster response delivery.
