Public Biography
Jonathan Leviss, MD FACP FAMIA, is an innovative physician executive with success as a CMO, CMIO, academic researcher, and consultant. Dr. Leviss has helped create value across the health care industry at health systems, start-up businesses, not for profit organizations, Fortune 100 companies and consulting firms. He is a primary care physician at Brown Medicine. Dr. Leviss' informatics career includes: Chief Medical Officer at AMC Health, a leading provider of real-time virtual care; CMO at the Rhode Island Quality Institute, overseeing development and adoption of RIís HIE, Regional Extension Center, and Beacon Community Program; CMO at Sentillion (acquired by Microsoft), focusing on provider workflow and HIT security; and the first CMIO at NYC Health + Hospitals, championing early adoption of CPOE and an enterprise EHR. Dr. Leviss has served clients as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting and independently. He is a practicing internist and member of the faculty at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He regularly presents and publishes on health care innovation and informatics. Dr. Leviss is board certified in internal medicine (ABIM) and clinical informatics (ABPM).
