Historic ACMI Biography
Dr. Strasberg is an industry leader in Biomedical Informatics. He has worked on a number of influential, commercial applications over the last decade. For example, he led the development of HL7 Infobutton implementations for UpToDateÆ, Clin-eguideÆ, Facts & ComparisonsÆ, and LexicompÆ. As a result of this work, these knowledge bases are widely integrated with electronic health records for streamlined, context-sensitive clinical decision support at the point of care. Based on this extensive implementation experience, he was the lead author on a JAMIA paper examining the terminology challenges surrounding Infobutton implementations (Strasberg 2013 Mar-Apr) and the various ways they can be addressed.
