Public Biography
I am an Associate Professor of Surgery with an affiliate appointment in our Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics. I spend about half my time doing clinical work (Endocrine Surgery) and the other half is spent on Clinical Informatics work. I serve as the Director for Virtual Care for UW Health, overseeing our ambulatory telehealth programs. I am also one of the Physician Informaticists on the ambulatory team. My research interests are related to my administrative roles and also include natural language processing, machine learning, quality improvement, and disparities.
