Public Biography
My 25 years of nursing experience includes roles as a staff nurse, clinical specialist, educator, researcher, system-level nursing administration, and national nursing organization leadership. I seek out opportunities to bridge practice and technology domains and bring nursing and informatics perspectives to professional nursing organizations and health policy venues locally and nationally. I maintain board certification as an informatics nurse and also as a nurse executive. My research interests include using data science methods to quantify nursing's role in patient care, patient safety and patient outcomes; barriers and facilitators of normal childbirth, and implementation science.
