Public Biography
Brittany Partridge is a leader in technology for Clinical Communications and Virtual Care. Most recently she has had the opportunity to join the UC San Diego Health as the Virtual Care Technical Lead rolling out 500+ iPhones, increasingMyChart Video Visits over 1000% and integrating interpreters into Telemedicine offerings to assist with the COVID response. She obtained a BS in Health Care Administration from CSU-Sacramento, while serving in Fire/EMS. After graduation she worked for the Emergency Medical Services Authority automating their Emergency Resource Reporting, and fell in love with the intersection between clinical and technical. Brittany then moved to Austin Tx where she earned her Health IT certificate from UT and a MBA in Healthcare from UT-Tyler. Brittany worked at Seton (later grouped under the Ascension Umbrella) for 7 years. She began as a physician educator for the Electronic Health Record and brought 3 hospitals live from paper to electronic. From there she was promoted to Clinical Informatics Specialist, where she ran many deployments in the EHR. Some of her favorites included ePrescribing and Merge Hemo. She has also served as the Informatics department portfolio manager, handling intake, resourcing and governance of EHR optimization requests. She moved to Setonís Good Health Solutions Center to run CI projects for Virtual Care, Innovation and the Patient Logistics Departments. Prior to moving to San Diego she transitioned to Ascension Connect, expanding her Virtual Care projects from Texas to all of Ascensionís health ministries. Brittany has been a long time member of AMIA and has served on the Public Policy Committee. She also participates in the Women in AMIA working group, and is very excited to be joining the WIA Leadership Program. She has attended the National Library of Medicine Informatics Course, and is involved in HIMSS education initiatives. When she is not working, Brittany enjoys programming, volunteering with Remote Area Medical and the outdoors, she is happiest on, in or by the water.
