Public Biography
Dr. Arturo Lopez Pineda is the Founder and CEO of Amphora Health, a Mexican startup providing advanced analytics capabilities for life sciences organizations. Prior to founding Amphora Health, he worked as a Data Scientist at Genentech, a member of the Roche group, where he provided real-world evidence for the oncology portfolio, and assisted in the evaluation of Roche’s data assets from Flatiron Health and Foundation Medicine. Dr. Lopez-Pineda completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University, where he also served as Data Scientist for the ClinGen consortium contributing to modeling of evidence capture from functional variants. He earned his doctorate and master’s degree in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Dr. López-Pineda is a Fulbright alumnus, a level 1 member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of Mexico in the field of Medical Informatics, and an AMIA Certified Health Informatics Professional (ACHIP™).
