Public Biography
Adrian Romero is an Emergency Medicine physician who is completing a Clinical Informatics fellowship at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Prior to his fellowship Dr. Romero worked as an attending for Emergency Physicians of Tidewater (EPT) a democratic emergency medicine group in Virginia. Prior to completing his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago he attended medical school at New York Medical College. Dr. Romero’s clinical informatics interests are in IT governance, implementation and vetting of artificial intelligence in healthcare settings as well as interoperability. His main project at UNC is focused on improving access to patients suffering from opioid use disorder (OUD) from UNC’s emergency departments.
