Amplify AMIA 2024: Become a Social Media Ambassador
The AMIA 2024 Annual Symposium Social Media Ambassador (SMA) program is a new initiative aimed at fostering peer-to-peer engagement and communication both before and during the Annual Symposium.
We are seeking enthusiastic AMIA members who are eager to connect with AMIA audiences through their personal social media channels.
Applications open on August 5 and will be accepted until August 31. Successful applicants will be notified in early September. A virtual introductory meeting for all ambassadors will take place in late September.
The SMA responsibilities will begin in October. All Ambassadors will be announced on AMIA Social Media Channels with links to their accounts.
Duties
Before Annual Symposium
SMAs will share posts about the meeting, including announcements about special symposia events and keynote speakers. Each SMA is expected to produce one post from October 1 – November 8, 2024.
During Annual Symposium
SMAs will provide updates on upcoming sessions and share brief summaries and highlights during and after sessions. Each SMA is expected to produce approximately five posts per day for each day of the conference.
Incentive
Social Media Ambassadors will have reserved VIP Seating at the Opening & Closing Keynote sessions.
Once completion of 90% of expected posts is verified, each SMA will receive a $100 Gift Card.
