Women in Informatics Networking Event (WINE)
6:00 pm- 7:30 pm | Union Square 22
Organized by the Women in AMIA - Networking/Mentoring and Lifecycle Sub-Committee, WINE offers an opportunity to meet with other women to discuss various topics and network. Please note this is a closed event and only open to those that identify as female.

Join fellow attendees to network, meet new colleagues, and gain a sense of what to expect throughout the conference. This gathering is intended to help attendees maximize their experience at Symposium.

Sunday, November 10

AMIA Fun Run/Walk
6:30 am – 7:45 am | Hotel LobbyJoin fellow attendees for some exercise through San Francisco. The run/walk will cover approximately 5 miles and will be hosted by AMIA member Dr. Danny Sands. For those who would like to doa shorter run, there will be a turnaround point at the 5K mark. The run will begin promptly at 6:30 am.

Join us for the opening of the Exhibition Hall. Symposium allows informaticians from across the country to gather in San Francisco for five days of learning and networking.  Now is the time to get started.  Join your peers for an opportunity to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones.  Light hors devours will be served.

Movement Session: Embodied Resourcing Thru Image Making
6:00 am - 6:45 am |  Continental Ballroom 7
Waking up to the depth, wisdom, and intelligence of our body and imagination can open us to inner resources and life-given wholeness. In this 45 min. experiential session, through conscious body movement and image-making, participants will call on a new kind of inward attention to explore and attune to feeling states, kinesthetic sensations, intuition, and body awareness, toward meaningful new encounters with the self.
This session is open to everyone. No prior movement/dance or image-making experience is needed, and art materials will be provided. Participants will need comfortable clothing for movement.
