AMIA is the professional home for clinical informatics and physicians Certified in the Medical Subspecialty of Clinical Informatics. The Physicians in AMIA group leads and represents the professional interests of all CI Diplomates.

AMIA is a leader in advancing clinical informatics practice in health care delivery. The organization was instrumental in bringing the subspecialty certification from idea in 2005 to reality in 2013 when the first board exam was administered and the first cohort of 456 physicians became diplomates. Today, AMIA is the home for 1000+ AMIA member physicians Certified in the Medical Subspecialty of Clinical Informatics.
