The election slate for FACMI is a ranked list of nominees, as vetted by our new Elections and Nominations Committee.

Members of the Elections and Nominations Committee rated each nominee and discussed the nominees in a committee meeting. Each nomination was reviewed and scored by three randomly selected Elections and Nominations Committee members with no conflicts of interest as established by NIH and other Federal study sections. These reviewers each reviewed applications independently and scored each candidate in each rated area. Each reviewer first reviewed the nominee’s application to ensure that the nominee met the criterion of at least 10 years of sustained contribution in informatics with the most common milestone of initial contribution being the nominee as first author on a peer-reviewed informatics publication or full-length conference proceeding. Committee members finalized ratings for each nominee and discussed the nominees in a committee meeting.

Based upon the distribution of scores, the Elections and Nominations Committee recommended to the ACMI Executive Committee the voting slate. Members are encouraged to strongly consider using this ranking in their decisions as they cast their votes.
