Our program offers fellows a unique opportunity to work at a prominent academic hospital located in the capital of California. We provide a comprehensive 2-year Clinical Informatics Fellowship, during which fellows will enhance their informatics expertise, actively contribute to IT projects and policies, and pursue their own informatics initiatives, with the aim of presenting at national conferences or publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals. Additionally, we facilitate our fellows in maintaining their practice in their primary medical specialty.
We maintain a close collaboration with the UC Davis Master of Health Informatics program, providing on-campus didactic instruction and standardized training. Furthermore, our fellows complete essential training programs, including the AMIA 10x10, EPIC physician builder, UC Davis extension courses covering programming, data access/processing, statistical methods, and machine learning techniques.
As part of the University of California system, we foster collaboration with fellowships at other affiliated sites, fostering regular journal clubs and opportunities for multi-campus research.
