The health informatics and data analytics certificate prepares clinicians and health care managers, as well as information technology (IT) professionals in highly specialized data science skills applied in health. Certificate course work stresses the use of technology and data science on modeling outcomes and quality of health care services. Students learn data science, statistical, artificial intelligence and related methods in the context of Electronic Health Records (EHR) data, medical claims data, as well as public and population health data.
The on-campus 18-credit hour (6 courses) program is offered in traditional 15-week semester format. Students are admitted for fall or spring semesters.
